2017 Nfl Season Prop Bets
The logic: This is another fun way to bet on big plays without necessarily needing a lot of scoring. This bet could cash even with just two touchdowns scored all game, as long as both came on big plays. In the NFC championship game, the seven touchdowns scored totaled 140 yards, including 85 yards on the game's first three scores. NFL Specials Odds and Props Bovada. Gambling should be entertaining. Odds based on Bovada sports book as of 6/2/2017
Every year, the NFL becomes more of a passing league with stud receivers dominating. In 2019, Saints WR Michael Thomas set a new record with 149 receptions and led the league with 1,725 receiving yards.
During the 2020-21 season, sportsbooks are offering a wide array of player proposition bets, including the league leaders in receiving yards, touchdowns, and more. In this article, we break down those season-long propositions with recommendations about specific receivers. Once the season starts, we’ll update this page to include weekly proposition bets for key individual receivers.

Receiving props 2020

Most receiving yards
This is an open proposition where bettors can select the WR or tight end they think has the best chance to lead the NFL in receiving yards. Last year, Julio Jones had the highest preseason projection (1,525.5) in terms of receiving yardage, but finished well behind Michael Thomas at the end of the year. Thomas had odds over +1000 on many sportsbooks, so a $10 preseason bet on Thomas to lead the league in receiving yards likely profited $100 or more.
Most receiving TDs
This propositions bettors to pick the receiver most likely to lead the league in receiving scores. While Thomas posted the most yardage last year, Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay led the NFL with 11 receiving TDs. Golladay would have been a preseason longshot to lead the league, along with the only other players to finish with double-digit receiving TDs – Rams WR Cooper Kupp and Ravens TE Mark Andrews – so a preseason bet on Golladay likely paid off handsomely.
Player totals: Receiving yards over/under
Instead of betting on the league leaders, bettors can take individual prop bets on specific players. There are projected totals assigned to many of the top receivers in the league with odds for taking the Over or Under on each projection. Once the season gets underway, players will be assigned a projection for specific games. So for example, ahead of the Falcons Week 1 matchup with the Seahawks, there will be a prop on whether Julio Jones tops around 86.5 receiving yards.
Player totals: Receiving TDs over/under
The same props are available on a weekly or season-long basis for receiving touchdowns. These props are obviously much lower than receiving totals, which makes sense considering only three players posted double-digit receiving TDs last season. Once the season starts, prop bets will be available on whether star receivers catch 1 or 2 TDs, with the odds usually listed in between each number (example: DeAndre Hopkins O/U 1.5 receiving TDs) to avoid a “push” where the bettor gets their wager back because the outcome falls exactly on the projection.
Who will have the most receiving yards in 2020?
2017 Nfl Season Prop Bets
It’s hard to bet against Michael Thomas repeating as the receiving champion in terms of yardage and receptions. The Saints offense is a well-oiled machine and Drew Brees is one of the most accurate passers of all time. New Orleans has no 1B option in the passing game, yet Sean Payton and company still find ways to scheme Thomas open, and his hands are incredibly strong. With +450 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, there isn’t great value in taking Thomas against the field. For value, Packers top WR Davante Adams (+1400 at DraftKings and FD Sportsbooks) is a good option to lead the league in receiving with Aaron Rodgers targeting bereft of another reliable target in the passing game.
Colts top WR T.Y. Hilton is a great sleeper to consider as receiving yards champion. He’ll be fresh after an injury-shortened season and is working with a savvy veteran QB in Philip Rivers. Hilton led the NFL in receiving yards in 2016 with Andrew Luck hitting him on plenty of deep crossing routes and Rivers can provide the same type of throws. Hilton is listed with +2800 odds to earn the receiving crown on DK and is still getting some value with +2100 odds at FanDuel.
